Revenue/Donations
CSSCA is a volunteer based, independent, non-profit association with Canada Revenue charitable designation. Ongoing operation of The Centre is costly. In addition to our annual dues of just $60, our Revenue Development Committee (RDC) has canvassed and received some initial support from local groups, service clubs and businesses. Any donations are gratefully accepted and are tax receipt-able through CanadaHelps.
May 2012, the CSSCA Board approved the RDC initiative to create a legacy fund, The 1000 Club. Donations from members and others would be invested at the best interest rate possible, while limiting risk. The aim is to secure the funds in a Trust while generating sufficient interest income to support ongoing CSSCA programs.
CSSCA is seeking donors who are willing to join The 1000 Club. All donors will be given a tax receipt and listed on a commemorative plaque of recognition at The Centre. It is hoped that members and others will see the value of joining The 1000 Club to support The Centre’s programs and activities. If you are interested in becoming a member of The 1000 Club, or if you require further information, please contact the Revenue Development Committee or the CSSCA Treasurer at 250-652-4611 or through cssca@shaw.ca.
We have partnered with CanadaHelps to allow for secure on-line donations and tax receipts. Please visit the on-line link above to make a donation.
